La primera asamblea europea de arqueología de las Américas reúne un grupo de académicos de distintas instituciones europeas especializadas en arqueología americanista a fin de dar cuenta a los proyectos de investigación en curso y vislumbrar futuras colaboraciones.

Entre el lunes 9 y el viernes 13 de mayo, se realizará en la municipalidad de Bornos una serie de actividades de presentación y discusión académicas: dos charlas públicas, cinco sesiones temáticas de presentaciones de investigaciones en curso y tres mesas redondas de discusión sobre desafíos científicos actuales.

Los Organizadores decidieron dedicar este evento a la memoria del pionero de la arqueología americana, O. Baltasar Martínez Compañón (1737 – 1797).
