Inventory of dr. Andrzej Krzanowski archival collection

Dr. Andrzej Krzanowski is Polish geologist, archaeologist, diplomat, researcher of Latin America. Lecturer at the Jagiellonian University, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Venezuela (1992–1998) and was head of Polish Scientific Expedition to the Andes.

Thanks to the subsidies small report was prepared that lists sets of unpublished materials prepared by dr. Krzanowski through his field work. Through these data sets, potential collaborators interested in Andean archaeology, ethnography and history can know what materials are available for study.

Maya Epigraphy – educational website

Since 2001, the Institute of Archaeology/Faculty of Archaeology at University of Warsaw (in cooperation with CEAC UW) in cooperation with the University of Bonn has been running the world's only Online Maya Epigraphy course. The authors of the course are German specialists, and scientific supervision is exercised by the world-famous specialist Prof. Nikolai Grube. The Polish side is responsible for the implementation of the course, including the creation of a website and substantive service for participants. The course is implemented through state-of-the-art open education techniques via the Internet, which guarantees the opportunity for participation by a wider range of interested parties. The entire course and the related discussion forum is conducted in English.

Thanks to subsidies, number of updates to the course were made. An educational and promotional website is in preparation to accompany this educational, international project.

Radiocarbon database

(„Aktualizacja bazy danych radiowęglowych”)

Available in a new online version and update of the ANDES radiocarbon database. Radiocarbon Database for Bolivia, Equador and Peru. It is a flagship project implemented by Polish researchers since 1994. The database currently contains over 3300 dates and is the world's largest radiocarbon database of its kind from the South American area.
